Common Faults

  • Arched back with bottoms in air
  • Arched back with bottoms low.
  • Hands too far forward or too wide

Corrections

  • Demonstrate the correct movement
  • Give verbal coaching cues of the correct technique
    • Keep back straight
    • Hand directly below shoulders
    • Look straight forward
    • Lower/raise hips
  • If child is fatigued, resulting in poor technique, allow the child to rest or slow down until the movement can be executed with correct technique
