Common Faults
- Legs too narrow or too wide
- Co-ordination of movement e.g. moving same hand and foot at same time
- Bending knees and elbows
- Flat feet
- Back slouched
Corrections
- Demonstrate the correct movement
- Give verbal coaching cues of the correct technique
- Keep arms and legs straight
- Move opposite hand and leg together
- Stay on balls of feet
- If child is fatigued, resulting in poor technique, allow the child to rest or slow down until the movement can be executed with correct technique
