Sarah Price

Strategic Lead

Role in FFL:

I am the strategic lead for Fit for Life which means I oversee the whole programme.

Professional background:

I am currently a Director and the Manager of Sedgefield School Sport Partnership CIC, of which Fit for Life is a flagship programme. I have worked within the School Sport Partnership network for 12 years. My aim is to ignite a passion for physical activity and sport in children and young people so they can experience the benefits of activity throughout their lives.

Revelant Qualifications:

  • First Class Degree in Sport Development and Health Sciences

  • Level 3 Diploma in Fitness Instructing and Personal Training

  • Level 2 in Multi Skills Development

How you personally keep active:

I take part in functional fitness classes 3 to 4 times per week at my local gym. For me, exercising at high intensity regularly has improved not only my physical health and body confidence but also my mental health and self-esteem.

Favourite Fit for Life Movement:

Chest to Overhead with Dip is my favourite but I like all the manipulation movements.

Favourite Fit for Life Workout:

Work Together because I like working in a team and working out with my friends. I also love to strategise and work out all the different ways the workout could be done and try to pick the best.

What you like the most about Fit for Life:

I like everything about Fit for Life. If I had to pick a few things:

  • That we prioritise effort and good quality movement

  • That our workouts are designed to support personal development

  • That we are more than fitness and more than a plug and play

Lead Deliverer

Role in FFL:

Lead Deliverer.

Professional background:

I have worked in education for 5 years, starting as a Sports Apprentice, becoming a qualified Teaching Assissant and now a Project Officer for Sedgefield School Sports Partnership and lead deliverer of our Fit for Life programme.

Revelant Qualifications:

  • Level 3 Diploma in Fitness Instructing and Personal Training
  • Level 3 Supporting Teaching and Learning
  • FA Level 3 UEFA B in Coaching Football

How you personally keep active:

I keep active by attending my local Leisure Centre Gym 3 times a week, where I do a range of activities to stay fit. Training helps keep me focused and increases my confidence and self-esteem.

Favourite Fit for Life Movement:

My favourite Fit for Life Movement is the Press-up as I think it is really hard to perform correctly and if you do so, then it shows you have really good upper body strength.

Favourite Fit for Life Workout:

My favourite Fit for Life Workout is a Move It! workout as you get to complete a number of different exercises within the same workout and tests your determination and resilience to work as an individual and to keep going for a period of time.

What you like the most about Fit for Life:

I love that Fit for Life offers children a way into getting fit and staying active without having the stigma of a sport attached to it.
